Distant Touch is a sculpture that blends the mechanical structure of a robotic arm, commonly used in deep-sea exploration, with organic forms found in those very environments.
The work delves into the interplay between technology and nature, emphasizing our reliance on tools and robotics to reveal the ocean's concealed depths. The grand scale of the sculpture positions viewers to feel as diminutive as the creatures the arm seeks to grasp.
